There's a CRM in it, and that's the part you'll see first — but the product is the staff. A Hand has a computer, a browser, a shell, your files and your connected accounts, so the work you can hand it isn't limited to sales. The board is where the record lands, not the ceiling on what it does.

Three ways. A Hand has somewhere to do the work — a real computer and your accounts, rather than a text box. It has standing: a company, a project, a role, and memory of its own past work. And what it does gets written down as it goes, so the pipeline, the activity log and the decisions waiting on you are always the current state rather than something you reconstruct from a transcript afterwards.

Your prompts and the context a turn needs go to whichever model you chose — that's inherent to using a model at all. Everything else stays put: config, staff, transcripts, files and the ledger live in one folder on your disk. There's no account to create and no copy of your pipeline on our servers. If you connect Gmail or Slack, those calls go to those services with a grant you can revoke.

The irreversible things need a yes. Shell commands, file edits, spending, sending, and anything a Hand judges to be a business decision arrive as an approval you allow or deny. Autonomy is a dial you set, and it starts low. Money movement isn't in the product at all.

No, and that's enforced below the interface. Every row in the ledger is stamped with the company it belongs to, and a query that arrives without one fails rather than guessing. Staff, transcripts, memory and connected accounts all stop at the company line; the only way across is you, switching.

A desktop app on macOS, Windows or Ubuntu, plus at least one agent CLI installed and signed in. Everything else — the harness that runs your staff, the ledger, the board — is bundled.

One command backs up the whole install; another restores it somewhere else, so a company moves between machines. Export gives you CSV for contacts, deals and tasks, Markdown for notes, and your transcripts. The ledger underneath is ordinary SQLite you can open yourself.
